Liberal Ladies enjoyed a guided tour of Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park (“HMFP”) led by Executive Director Ahmad Ward. Mitchelville is the first self-governed town of formerly enslaved people in the United States and holds a profound and significant place in American History. Mr. Ward was joined by anthropological archaeologist, Katie Seebe.
