Each month Liberal Ladies of the Lowcounty features a local non-profit at our luncheon. These organizations provide assistance for members of our community in a variety of ways, and we are happy to support to their efforts to improve the quality of life in our local area.

ACLU of South Carolina

Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA)
CAPA offers a variety of programs to the community to help raise awareness aboutThe Children’s Center child abuse and its effects on the community.

Diversity Awareness Youth Literacy Organization (DAYLO)
A student book club that engages students in works celebrating diverse viewpoints and teaching themes of social justice and inclusivity.

Deep Well Project
Helps people in emergency situations by giving them an immediate hand up so that they can continue to help themselves.

Habitat for Humanity
Proceeds from the sale of donated goods help local families build a foundation for a brighter future.

Heroes of the Lowcountry
Providing a "leg up" to under-served students so they can realize the
 dream of continuing their education beyond high school.

Hilton Head Humane Society
Dedicated to providing a safe haven for the abandoned cats and dogs of the Low Country.

Historic Mitchelville Park
Celebrating the American spirit by telling the story of the first first self governing freedman’s town in America,

Hopeful Horizons
We provide safety, hope and healing to survivors of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault through evidence-based practices and lead in ending abuse through primary prevention and education.

League of Women Voters
A nonpartisan group, neither supporting nor opposing candidates or political parties at any level of government, but always working on vital issues of concern to members and the public.

The Literacy Center
Teaching adults learn to read, write, or do basic math, enabling them to dream big, do more and move forward.

Lowcountry Coalition Against Hate
>A community coalition to educate and inform the public by reaffirming the sanctity of life and a rejection of bigotry, bias and hate.

Lowcoutry Gullah
Through offering information, resources and support, families establish a solid financial base with general and individualized guidance on economic land opportunities, as well as understanding and untangling title and heirs property issues.

Lowcountry Indivisible
A non-profit organization that promotes progressive solutions, information, tools and support to fight for progressive causes.

Meals on Wheels
Delivering meals to homebound clients in Hilton Head and Bluffton who lack capacity to prepare nutritious meals without regard to their ability to pay. 

Mental Health America of the Lowcounty
Promoting mental health, helping prevent mental disorders and offering pathways to continuous improvement.

National Alliance for the Mentally Ill
An organization of families, friends and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness.

Osprey Village
Providing resources to empower adults with developmental disabilities.

Planned Parenthood South Atlantic
Planned Parenthood believes that everyone deserves to make their own personal health decisions and
have access to high-quality, compassionate care, regardless of where they live.

Programs for Exceptional People
A non-profit organization celebrating its 25th anniversary where people with developmental, physical and intellectual disabilities enhance their lives through socialization, literacy and vocational training. 

Second Helpings
Our volunteers pick up food from food donors, deliver it at no cost to our agency partners, who provide it directly to people in need.

Sea Turtle Patrol
Provides monitoring and support on HHI for sea turtle nesting and hatching activity daily from May-October.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Lowcountry
Enabling young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Volunteers in Medicine
Maintaining wellness, educating patients regarding self-care, and helping patients maintain their health so they remain productive members of our community.
